Post-War Europe: Refugees, Exile and Resettlement, 1945-1950 is a collection of primary source materials from the holdings of the Wiener Library,London and The National Archives in the UK which supports research and teaching of post-World War II Europe. This unique archive covers theinternational politics leading the administration, care, repatriation and emigration of the Displaced Persons (DPs) as well as the plight of the survivors,both Jews and non-Jews, of the Holocaust and World War II, and their reintroduction to life and community. A large percentage of the DPs wererefugees from Eastern European countries fleeing Soviet rule who were not able to return to their homelands until after the fall of the Berlin wall.
